Stan and Christina
We are Stan and Christina and we want to take a moment, first and foremost, to thank you for considering us to parent your child. In no way will we ever be able to understand the depth of what you are going through, but we do know that in order to make such a selfless decision your character is genuine and your love is unconditional. We have the utmost respect for you and the choices you are considering for your child.
We met during high school, 16 years ago, and have been together ever since! Stan is an engineer and Christina is a labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital. We both love what we do and are fortunate that Christina is able to work a flexible, part time schedule that allows her to be home with our children! We both serve as active members of our church, Stan plays the drums in the praise band and Christina works with the kids in our Awana program. We live in a quiet neighborhood, on a tree-lined street, with parks and wooded trails nearby. We have two fun-loving dogs: Lucy, a gentle and sweet-spirited mutt and Breslin, a goofy and energetic German shorthaired pointer. They are truly a wonderful part of our family.
Our journey to parenthood was not easy and began with heartache. Our loss led us down a path that was both different and beautiful and we are still in awe of all the ways that we have been blessed. Four and half years ago our son, Samuel, was born and joined our family through adoption! To our surprise, after a bout of infertility, we were blessed with a surprise pregnancy that brought us Luke just seven months later! Our boys are truly the best of friends. They share a bond that is beautiful and genuine and watching them grow up together has been the joy of our lives.
As a family we enjoy being active and exploring new things. We love to visit the zoo and nature center and we spend many a summer afternoon having picnics and playing at the park. We love to teach the boys new things and try to include them in everyday, seemingly mundane tasks. Almost everything can be an adventure, if you choose to make it one! We love visiting new places and have started vacationing with the boys every chance we get. This past spring we bought a camper and cannot wait to show them all the beautiful hidden gems in and around Michigan!
This is just a small glimpse into our lives. If you have any questions, or would like to get to know us better we would love to speak with you! Regardless of your decision, we wish you the best, and are praying for you!
